Jazz was the only one from her litter of eleven to come to the East Coast from Oregon.  It was a long trip home, but the ride since then has been fun.  My favorite part of training Jazz is laughing at her.  She takes life very seriously, and I spend my time trying to figure out how to throw kinks in her well thought out plans.  She goes through life following rules, and making sure the other dogs follow those rules as well.  The benefit of her thoughtful personality is that she is easy to train, extremely predictable, and easy to read.  Once she learns something, she rarely makes a mistake.  This is true in the field, where she rarely has whistle or cast refusals, in obedience, where she has always q'd, or in agility where she rarely has a missed contact or wrong course.  She has taught me a lot about training dogs, and has become my best friend in the process.
